iFOCUS Advanced Training

—Intercultural Congregations: Missional Contextualization
—4 Day Training Event for Pastors & Members

—iFOCUS Advanced Training covers three critical areas in the missional development of the congregation. These tasks are: (1) Discover Cultural Compatibility; (2) Assess Reproductive Capabilities; and (3) Foster Ministry Contextuality. Prior to this session, the congregation will need to complete the following three surveys: (1) OurChurchFITDEX Questionnaire; (2) OurChurchREADYDEX Questionnaire; and (3) OurChurchCONTEXTUALITYDEX Questionnaire. While maintaining confidentiality, each church member family is provided with questionnaires that are coded to the MOSAIC Lifestyle segment in which they reside. The research reports analyze the data by MOSAIC Lifestyle segment. Each task consists of three parts: a customized, research report based on the congregational survey, training in interpreting and applying the research report, and a guide to implementation. The table below gives an overview of these components.

Each participant will use the data from a church of their choosing during the training.

Who should attend?

Pastors are encouraged to bring as many lay people with them as possible to facilitate the discussion and application of their community and congregation data.
