—Missional congregations are contextual churches: that is, they design ministry, methods, and messages within the culture of the people they are discipling. OurChurchCONTEXTUALITYDEX™ evaluates the congregation along 5 areas of their ministry context in relation to both the segments in the church and the community. Using a survey of the congregation, for each of the major segments in the community and congregation 5 major aspects of contextualization are discerned including: contextual worship, contextual instruction, contextual fellowship, contextual outreach, contextual ministry.

The questionnaire is individually coded to the MOSAIC segment in which each member household resides. The cover sheet of the survey includes the member’s name and address which is removed upon completion of the survey to maintain anonymity.
